In the Bernese Alps, there is a famous trio consisting of the Jungfrau (4,158 m), Mönch (4,107 m), and Eiger (3,970 m) mountains. The three four-thousand-meter peaks are located on the border betweenthe Swiss cantons of Bern and Valais. With its 4,158 m, the Jungfrauis the highest mountain in the trio and is part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch area in the Swiss Alps, which spans approximately 820 km² and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Skiers and snowboarders will find plenty to enjoy in the region surrounding this impressive triumvirate. The Jungfrau Region boasts about 200 kilometers of slopes at altitudes ranging from 796 to2,970 meters. Winter sports enthusiasts have an excellent view ofthe three mountains from many slopes, and their impressive relief can be seen even from a distance.
