Naturally, the French giant Mont Blanc cannot be missing from this list. With a height of 4,810 m, this majestic mountain is the highest in the Alps and also the highest in Europe. Mont Blanc is part of the Mont Blanc massif, in the Western Alps, and lies on the French-Italian border. Its imposing appearance provides a unique backdrop to the Chamonix-Mont Blanc ski area. This ski region is centered around the French pass, also known as the "Roof of the Alps," and impresses with a total of 870 kilometers of slopes and about 260 skilifts. Additionally, the Mont Blanc massif has been part of the French list of UNESCO World Heritage sites since 2000.
